Choose from a great range of vintage, contemporary, retro and antique dining chairs

Our stunning range of retro and antique dining chairs will provide you endless opportunities and design ideas to enhance your dining area. Whether you’re looking for more classic seating your formal dining room or something vintage and unusual to live your entertaining space, you’ll find the perfect set of chairs at Lesser Spotted.

What style should I choose? Why not spruce up the area and bring something different to your dining space by choosing a table and set of chairs separately, rather than a ready-made set? Or, if you prefer everything to match, our mid-century teak chairs or regency chairs will suit most designs and tie into the scheme perfectly. For an even more unusual look, why not consider our acrylic revolving chairs. These are great for gatherings with friends and family – especially if there’s always lots of moving around. No more screeching along your wooden flooring!

What size should I choose? Make sure, if you’re buying a table and set of chairs separately, to measure the width of your table to ensure your chairs will fit underneath comfortably. Chunkier antique dining chairs are often a no-no if you own a round or oval table as they provide less leg room underneath. Also, if you have a smaller dining table, avoid chairs with tall backs – you don’t want to overwhelm the space. Similarly, smaller chairs at a large table will look mismatched. Try to find a balance!

What material should I choose? This all depends of the purpose of your chairs. If you have family gatherings often, you want something comfortable and spacious. Maybe consider one of our upholstered or hard-wearing leather sets. If you have young children running around, leather can easily wipe clean but some of our dining sets are made with aqua clean technology enabling stains to be cleansed using water alone – super easy to maintain!
