In our vintage armchairs collection you’ll discover a huge variety of different designs, giving you endless choices and opportunities to transform a room into a space you’ll love.
At Lesser Spotted, we value a good armchair and know the importance of picking the perfect one for your space. So whether you’re looking for a vintage armchair to flank the fire in your country sitting room, or a bold pair of mid century cocktail chairs to liven up a drawing room, we can help you find it.
Fabrics are important to consider when choosing the perfect armchairs. With a little love and attention, your cosy new chair should live to serve you for several years to come. Some of our chairs have a brand new aqua clean technology which allows you to clean stains and dirt with just water alone. This might be something to keep in mind if you have pets or small children running around. Or maybe a beautiful buttery leather is more your style – perfect to melt into with a good book.
Colour is also important when it comes to picking the right vintage armchairs, and with our huge rainbow of colours and designs to choose from, we sure haven’t made it easy for you! But allow us to help. Consider the other furniture in the room and choose something to help tie in the design. Alternatively, why not go for something stylish and dramatic to liven up the seating area. Bolder colours, in moderation, look great in a simple colour scheme and add life to the space.
Play with the contrast. Maybe consider choosing lighter colours in rooms with darker walls or windowless spaces, and darker colours in bright open spaces to make a strong statement.
Think about shape. Where is your new chair going to sit? What is its purpose? An egg chair or swivel chairs works wonders in an empty corner to smarten it up. But maybe you want your new chair in the main living area where the action happens, in which case maybe a chunkier and bolder design would make a broad statement and add liven up the space.
Many of our vintage armchairs come in pairs. Don’t be afraid to coordinate symmetry into your design. It’s easy on the eye and gives the space a balanced and restful look.
